ARE HERE is an experimental service that lets in near real-time record the progress of their ski tours, hiking, cycling or mountain biking, etc. etc. The same time is also recorded at the current position the user has within the same path.
E 'therefore very different thing from a GPS navigator as TwoNav or OruxMap as ARE HERE connects to the Internet and communicates the user's position in more or less real time.
There are two elements of this project:
- an app (named ARE HERE) that operates on an Android smartphone and records the location (and location) by sending it periodically on the internet;
- a computer (or a tablet or a smartphone) connected to the Internet which allows you to see the current location of the user and also provides a variety of information (in realtime) useful to its security; the useful link is www.lalpinistavirtuale.it/sonoqui
Only someone who is authorized (from time to time, by each Alpinista Alerts) can follow the path of the tour, the walking, the bike ride, etc. of your family and / or friend. This can be useful for security purposes and also as a generic information usable for more recreational / sporting purposes (excluding only those commercial)
It will be the single user has installed on their smartphone the aforementioned app, and BEFORE beginning the trip selected by its own dedicated staff and list the names to send an email (and / or text message, the next message WhatsApp) informing them about:
- the instructions that allow their family and / or friends to connect to www.lalpinistavirtuale.it/sonoqui site where you can view the location and other related data;
- the authentication code that enables them to access the service; without this code you can not display the web page with the route mentioned above.
