simple app to send automatic SMS with their geographical coordinates and accurately with predetermined time interval, for one or more selected phone.

Suitable for free flight practitioners like Paragliding, paramotor, hang gliding, glider and hot air ballooning. But perfectly adaptable and can be used by practitioners track, cycling, kayaking ,, etc., where you need to keep the rescue or someone informed of their location.

This version of WaySMS is designed to use only GPS and 2G network to send SMS, targeting the largest service coverage in Brazil and the world.

This application was developed on the same platform as the Henrique Frasson, Asa Delta pilot, sport lover and creator of Free Fly SMS, which I used for a long time.

As Henrique Frasson, I'm paraglider pilot and felt the need for an application to meet my needs on the flight, which is to keep the rescue and family informed of my location.

This App was developed by AppInventor (http://appinventor.mit.edu/), a graphical tool for developing Android applications. Therefore, I am not a professional in the business. But I liked the result and I'm looking for more advanced framework to provide design improvements and new features.

The WaySMS is very simple and all you need is in one screen:

Steps of use:

1. First of all your phone's GPS must be enabled.

2. After inserting all the fields, there are buttons, send now, clear list, start, stop, show map, contacts and the add button. Each of these buttons fires actions as we see below:
Send now: sends the message that was entered in the field next to the button and the location at that moment.
Clear List: Clears the phone list previously added and displayed below.
Start: Start the game.
Stop: Stop the game.
Show map: Displays the current coordinates in Google Maps.
Contacts: Select a phone for your contacts
Add: Adds the phone entered in the field next to the Add.

Obs .: Once selected contact or add a phone, a list of contacts for sending SMS will be shown below, but if you want to remove any phone, simply click on it a dialog box will be displayed to confirm the exclusion,

3. The completion of the fields is intuitive but can be used the following example:
Your Name: Sidney
Small Message Start "taken off now," or "Starting Pedal"
Start Speed ​​(Km / h): 8
The checkbox Activate SMS Start, enables sending SMS to Start, so speed to get to 8km / h, in this example.
Small Message Movement: "I'm in this coordinated flight," or "I'm riding this coordinated"
Interval (min): 10
The Checkbox Activate SMS in Movement, enables sending of SMS in the range set in minutes. In our example every 10 minutes will be sent an SMS.
Small Message Goal: "I landed here," or "I arrived at my destination"
Wating Time: 2
The checkbox Activate SMS Goal, enables sending the message reached goal, ie to route. When this message is sent the App goes into Stop mode and ends the sending messages.

The phone number you want messages to be sent. You can enter the phone you want, provided it is valid, that is, you can insert the operator (0XX27XXXXXXXX), or you can enter only the number (XXXXXXXX). It's worth entering the area code and operator if you are crossing several cities;

. Note To test that the application is working, enter your own phone number and put the Start Speed ​​values: 1, Interval (min): 0.5, Wating Time: 0.5.

For a bike ride, consider a time Wating Time longer than 10 minutes, therefore, have the time you may be waiting at a traffic light or a short break to drink water. If this break is greater than the set value it will send the message that your destination has been reached and will to send new messages.

Foi Implementado diversos controles, tais como, identificar se o possui sinal de GPS antes de aceitar o Start.
Se durante o deslocamento ocorrer a perda do sinal de GPS as mensagens param de serem enviadas, mas, assim que sinal é recuperado, a mensagem é atualizadas com as coordenadas corretas e encaminhada.
Ao identificar falta de movimento no tempo previamente estabelecido em "Wating Time", O App envia uma mensagem de Stop e para de enviar novas mensagens.
