--- 🐺 December 5, 2024 -- BLACKWATER SWAMP WILL BE FREE IN DEC/JAN 🐺 ---
Folks have asked for more free content, and that is happening. The Blackwater Swamp scenario will be FREE for everybody. This happens in Update 750, that's going to arrive in Dec 2024 or Jan 2025.

A very short "preview" version of STRANDED ISLE is becoming available to Raven/Wolf owners in December 2024 and an improved map in January.

Update 740 testing is going on, and hits play store as soon as we've ensured there's no major bugs.

Update fixes plenty of bugs and brings more content, first indoor location to Grizzly Mountains. Beta testing has begun, expect full release to public soon.

-- NOTE ABOUT CLASSIC OLDER 319 UPDATE --
The old 2018 version codebase was in such state that it became impossible to add new features and eventually this version would have been removed from stores due incompatible android. The whole game codebase was redone (twice) and the new version now is the only one available. This lead to choices that were either "old version is lost forever" or "new version replaces it" and the "new version replaces" was the choice. Some of the classic features have been fixed in update 680 and please do keep giving feedback.

There's been requests for a "classic" version within Survive so emailing smokesignal@thesurvivegame.com with subject line "CLASSIC" can impact development plans.

Game can be played OFFLINE. If you have internet connection, then game will try send anonymized data about gameplay (things like "X number of people play game"). Please check out "for humans" privacy policy at thesurvivegame.com - Game never requires creating email account or giving your name or other information.

--- PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED ---
* IN-APP PURCHASES (IAP): You can buy full version, style pack and such. There are no "gems" or "ads" type of stuff.
* FULL NETWORK ACCESS: you can play offline, but if you play online game sends error/exception information about crashes. This helps fixing problems.
* VIEW NETWORK CONNECTIONS: To best of my understanding this checks if your device is online or offline.
* CONTROL VIBRATION: this can be toggled off in the settings. It's used only for in-game events (like if you catch a fish or something like that)
* OTHER WORTH MENTIONING: game stores "save game" files to your device so that you can save & continue game after playing. Should not require extra permissions though. Game does not read your phone files. It only reads game files and via settings screen you can see list of files that were created.
* RUN AT STARTUP: This is some unnecessary permission that we hope to remove (sorry for time being). Game doesn't use it for anything.

741: fixes inventory ui, fixes several bugs, tweaks crafting recipes, achievements, rescue handling (after 3 days from sending the radio call) and adds new content to Grizzly Mountains. New content requires restarting the scenario. The health/hydration etc icons now ”fill” based on how much is remaining. Inventory UI is reorganized to ensure it works on different devices. Gameplay has been tuned to be somewhat more difficult now.

Update 750 is in development.
