Step By Step Guide To Install Smart Card ATR Analyzer using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. This application helps you to connect an USB CCID smart card reader and get Answer To Reset(ATR) data from the smart card and transform it in a human readable format.

How to use it?
Install the app and plug the smart card reader to android. If your reader supports CCID, a permission dialog popup by android to acquire user's confirmation to access the reader. Click OK to run the app and insert any ISO7816 smart card (should be T=1 or T=0). ATR analyzer will read the Answer to Reset (ATR) from card and analyzer the ISO7816-3 information.
