Step By Step Guide To Install Renal Health using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.

The Renal Health is an application on chronic kidney disease. The first version consists of three modules, divided according to the target audience: people who are not diagnosed with chronic kidney disease; chronic renal patients who are performing hemodialysis and those who did kidney transplant. People who do not have the disease are available in the application information content on chronic kidney disease, such as the concept of disease, preventive measures, major risk factors and causes, treatment modalities, frequently asked questions and the option to perform tests with or without test results, to determine the risk of developing it.

In the session for hemodialysis patients, self monitoring features have been developed directed to assist them in controlling fluid intake and weight gain between sessions, monthly monitoring of the results of the main laboratory tests, treatment information, such as care vascular access, nutritional guidelines, scheduling appointments, tests and medications, among others. The application offers the kidney transplant users guidance on post-transplant period, with important signs and symptoms in the early diagnosis of infection, frequently asked questions, general and nutritional information, log and alert to medications, appointments and tests, information on immunosuppressive medications, among others. In addition, the Renal Health can be used by families and caregivers of people with chronic kidney disease to assist in answering questions and adaptation to treatment.

It is believed that the Renal Health can also contribute to the health professionals in the ongoing process of health education. The Renal Health application has been tested with professionals at work in Nephrology (doctors, nurses, psychologists and nutritionists) and patients with chronic kidney disease and acceptance was satisfactory.
