In this post, I am going to show you how to install MPG/KPL on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install MPG/KPL using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "MPG/KPL" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

This App is useful mostly for Americans traveling in countries that use the metric system for distance and liquid measurements. The conversion from US to metric is not easily done without a calculator or pen and paper. This App will give you the distance and fuel usage conversions quickly and simply.

The following conversion factors are used in this App:

1 mile is equal to 1.609 kilometers

1 kilometer is equal to .6214 miles

1 US gallon is equal to 3.785 liters

1 Liter is equal to .2642 US gallons

To find miles per gallons (mpg), enter the requested data in miles and gallons, then click the “US GALLONS” button. For kilometers per liter (KPL), enter the data in kilometers and liters and click the “LITERS” button.
If you just want to know distance in miles or kilometers, enter the distance data and a “0” for the “Fuel Amount.”
If using the trip odometer, enter a “0” as the “Starting Odometer” reading, then the “Ending Odometer” reading and the “Fuel Amount.”

To see the results in miles and US gallons, click the “US GALLONS” button. The corresponding kilometers and K/L with be displayed below those results. To see the results in kilometers and liters, click the “LITERS” button. The corresponding miles and US gallons result is likewise displayed below.

Remember, 100 miles is 160.09 kilometers, but 100 kilometers is only 62.14 US miles. If you switch back and forth between “US GALLONS” and “LITERS” the distances and fuel usage will result in different amounts because the conversions are different.

Clicking the “HOME” button will close the App and hold the entered data on most phones. Clicking the “BACK” button clears the entered data. Nothing is permanently stored on your phone by this App.

Imperial gallons are not provided for in this App.
