Metal my Idle Bots is an idle game that includes RTS elements such as an map to build on to gather resources. And a battling area that you use your resources on to try and get further into the game.

The map is an area where you build specific buildings and try to optimize their layout to the best you can to get the most out of the maps resources available. With different buildings that can be placed, Each one has a different role and does different things depending on if you place other buildings adjacent to them.

The battlefield is another part of the game where you use your resources. You have designs of robots that each have their own unique attributes. And an number of factories with the purpose of constructing those robots. The robots that are built are in constant battle with an enemy, and by defeating them you move on to another enemy, an even harder one.

The resources in the game are streamed, with no storage. Resources that are not spent the moment they are made are lost forever. You always want to produce more, even if they are lost when not being consumed fast enough.

Upgrading, Units and buildings can be upgraded in the game with two methods. Using scrap, a resource available by soft-resetting (travelling) in the game. Scrap upgrades carry through travels and are immediately done. And time upgrades. Normal upgrades take time to process and are lost upon travelling. Time upgrades take a short period of time and are designed to have a limit where upgrading takes too long to take that it would be better to travel. By traveling you can further progress on your next run. Or even research and make upgrading more cost effective and shorten the time it takes to upgrade.
