On November 16, 1992, educators couples Silvana and José Roberto de Medeiros and Adriana and Cleverson Sartorelle materialize the dream of founding a school that could prepare, in fact, their students for life. Thus, the group outlined a pedagogical project, aware that education is a process that should take into account not only the appropriation of content but also the development of critical thinking, of Christian love and respect each other, mainly.
In February 1993, in our own building, the Prisma opened its doors to attend the classes of Child Education. Already with the innovative idea of offering teaching using technology applied to education. Hence the conclusion that the school has always been ahead, with regard to educational advances and the needs identified by them.
The elementary school happened in 1994 and then came the cram school Pre-College. The desire to grow and to offer quality education forced its directors to invest in the construction of the building, which was opened in 2000. Now, with the necessary accommodation, came the first high school classes.
Since then, the College Prisma tried to solidify their bases, expanding the physical space for the comfort of students, engaging in the continuous training of its teachers and improving their pedagogical proposal.
Foreseeing the need for expansion of its spaces, due to the growth of our city, in 2011, Prism launches its new unit Childhood Education, PRISMÁGICA, located in a privileged area (turtledoves Street, No. 564) thus diversifying the supply of pre school -school. The Prismágica came to allow parents greater adaptation with regard to working hours, morning, afternoon or full periods. Also offering the Prisma'dia, which is a service that lets parents take their children to school in days and alternating periods or possible needs.
The College Prisma is an institution that not only teaches, learns. It is, in short, a school that re-invents to ensure its most noble purpose: the formation of young people committed to a more responsible society, more skilled, more human and more just.
