In this post, I am going to show you how to install AgriPoll Smart Survey on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Step By Step Guide To Install AgriPoll Smart Survey using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. A smart survey platform that allows extension workers and key stakeholders to gather, analyze and disseminate image (pests and crops), location, time, weather, and environment in which the pests have been detected.
=>This information is accessible through feature phones, smart phones, and web platforms.
=> Unlike existing systems for pest surveillance which are manual and therefore susceptible to slow bureaucratic processes and data loss, our system is automated and provides high quality, real time and context specific information that enables timely, cost effective, safe interventions by farmers and stakeholders.
=>This enables the farmers to promptly manage FAW infestations and intervene in time to save their crops.

We capture;

Pest Image information used to detect, identify and count the number of Fall army worms .
Crop image information used to determine the growth stage of crops, the possibility of existing pests and the extent of damage of the pests.
Location information used to create real time infestation maps of large areas that will allow for better planning for resource allocation.
Time will be used to create and track migration patterns.


We hypothesize that using this innovation will;

a)Improve early identification of pests by leveraging crowd sourced data and machine learning online platforms for image detection and analysis of image information
b)Foster strategic coordination and help avoid duplication of effort since it records and analyses information on a central online repository, and availing it for all the stakeholders.
c)Enable farmers to apply chemical controls in a more targeted and effective way leading to harmonization of biological, chemical, and cultural control tactics by providing actionable information based on pest threshold, weather and environment information, enabling farmers and stakeholders to;
i.Conserve soil and water quality.
ii.Save money wasted on ineffective chemical treatments.
iii.Protect natural enemies of pests, which may also be killed by pesticides.
iv.Reduce human and animal pesticide exposure in fields, food residues, and the environment.
v.Manage insecticide resistance, helping to maintain the efficacy of existing chemical control options over time.
