In this post, I am going to show you how to install LisiGo on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install LisiGo using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "LisiGo" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

[Note 2] about Bluetooth: At the moment, support for Bluetooth is not available on BlueStacks. Hence, apps that require control of Bluetooth may not work on BlueStacks.

LisiGo is the traffic jam and news portal of OÖNachrichten. On the way to work or home you will always be informed about the traffic situation on your route and throughout the central area of ​​Linz.

The following functions are included in the LisiGo app:

Home screen
The home screen of the user is the personal dashboard. Here the user gets a quick overview of his upcoming journey and the following overview point:
• Display of the personal route.
• Delay at the predefined sections or hotspot points on this route.
• If present, the type of delay (e.g., overload, accident) is also displayed.
• Webcams marked as favorite appear on the dashboard.

Traffic Report
The users have a function in the app to easily report a current traffic jam. By clicking on a dedicated button in the app, a congestion is sent immediately to the app operators. Optionally, the cause of the delay can be reported via a predefined category (accident, congestion, weather or construction site) and a voice message can be recorded.

Webcams
Webcam images are provided by ASFINAG traffic cameras or the webcam portal of the state of Upper Austria for the users. The webcams are accessible via the overview map in the app. A webcam can be marked as a favorite and added to your personal dashboard. The webcam images are updated regularly within a few seconds.

driving mode
The newly created driving mode displays the current speed and warns you acoustically of danger spots while driving.

Push notifications
If a personal route incl. Departure times has been defined by the user, the user will be informed by push message about potential delays as well as mobile radar controls. The warning happens before the defined start of the journey. The time (how long to be warned in advance) can be changed by the user in the settings.
