Adjust the amount of rain until the rainbow appears, move the wind blade at the right speed to produce electricity and try to turn all the machines into bicycles to help the planet and keep global warming under control.
Three mini-games in augmented reality (AR - Augmented Reality) included in the "Nuvole a Motore" environmental education project, whose main objective is to strengthen the knowledge of the addressees of the initiative regarding the theme of energy and its multiple relationships with the climate and the meteorology.
Search and frame with the camera of your smartphone or tablet the illustrations marked with the AR + symbol at the beginning of each chapter of the booklet you received at school (if your class participates in the project) or that you can download from the website project (www.nuvoleamotore.it).
Through an informal and interactive didactic approach, a differentiated language for different targets (students, teachers, parents / families) and active and cooperative learning tools, the project deals with the environmental issues discussed and provides the students with cognitive skills and tools to read and interpret correctly the context in which they live, in a multidisciplinary educational path.
The theme of sustainability, linked to the climatic and meteorological changes in progress and the energy transition that our society is facing - environmental and social impacts of the new energy plants included - takes on a central role in the educational path and becomes the guiding thread of the three major themes ( energy, climate and weather) that the project faces.
Thanks to the augmented reality, the simulations allow to see the illustrations of the didactic booklet take shape in three dimensions, stimulating the students to deepen, in a fun and immersive way, the project contents through the use of the paper booklet delivered to the participants or freely downloadable online.
These recreational tools can also provide teachers with ideas and ideas for educational activities to be developed during the project. The app shows a situation related to each of the three project themes:
Weather
Adjust the amount of rain by touching the cloud, until you see the rainbow and see the flowers bloom in the meadow, but ... Careful not to cause a storm and a flood!
Power
Touch the screen and let the wind turbine generate electricity by adjusting the wind speed and direction until the lights in the house light up, but without exceeding the red limit!
Climate
In the shortest possible time, try to turn all the machines into bicycles and make the mobility more sustainable, to help the planet and keep global warming under control.
