ABSTRACT

Right now, we interact with computers in a very unnatural 2D way. With our software you can really apply your intuition and take something from your mind to a physical object model with far greater ease than we do currently. Being present in a virtual reality and interacting with realistic 3D car models using hand gestures will redefine the way people used to explore automobile models present in their computers forever. There have been many showroom apps that demonstrate model of a car and let you interact with it but the interaction has never been natural. The user has to be specifically guided e.g which button to press to open door and zoom in etc. Also the visualization used to be very 2D, a large picture shown on a flat screen. To make everything more natural we use virtual reality where you can interact with actual 3D models and use hand gestures that naturally comes to your mind for interacting.
We use 3D motion control technology i.e. Leap motion to explore 3D automobile models. This allows using hand gestures that comes naturally when interacting with real life objects. Google Cardboard is used to project the models in virtual reality and make the interaction with them more natural. Consequently, this makes the visualization of complex models very realistic.
