Slow Down allows you to monitor the new Mobile Safety Cameras around the country in real-time (Republic of Ireland only).

After starting the application it will download the latest Mobile Safety Camera locations to your phone. You will need to have the GPS turned on for the application to work properly (if it is not already turned on it will ask you do so). If you are in the proximity of a Mobile Safety Camera Zone you will be given a visual and audible warning.

Note: If you still don't see the GPS icon appearing after starting the application you may need to turn the GPS device on and off again.

You will still receive warning notifications even if the application is not running in the foreground. To stop receiving notifications exit the application by selecting Exit from the menu.

GPS requires a clear path to a number of satellites at any time to calculate your current position. It is generally better and safer to have your phone windscreen mounted in order to maximise the GPS's signal strength.

Slow Down uses Google Maps to display mobile speed zone information. There may be associated data costs with this application. Therefore, it is recommended that you have a data plan before using it.

This is not a navigation device, but serves the sole purpose of warning you when you are in the proximity of a Speed Camera Zone. A warning does not necessarily mean that a safety camera is present within your vicinity. You should never interact with the application whilst driving as it may distract you and cause you to lose control of your vehicle.

This is the initial version of the Slow Down application. If you have any comments or feedback please forward them on to slowdown@encorebiz.ie. I'd love to hear from you - good or bad.

Take care of your speed and arrive alive.

See the About page for full terms and conditions.
