Environmental and Citizen Protection and Prevention, or more briefly PPAC, is the solution produced by the IT company RDT Srl chosen by the Union of Municipalities Terre dell'Ufita to provide information and services useful for emergency management, to support the activities carried out by Civil Protection in the interest of the environment and the population, and in this way guarantee the maximum diffusion and dissemination of the information contained in the Municipal Plan of Civil Protection of the municipalities of Frigento, Gesualdo, Grottaminarda, Melito Irpino, Sturno and Villamaina in the province of Avellino.


What is the PPAC system?

PPAC is the result of decades of experience gained in the development of geolocation technologies and services based on the position of the user and in-depth knowledge of the territory of expert technicians: it is in fact able to provide information to users on the move, to make dialogue directly and in real time citizens with institutions, to deliver news based on where users are located.

PPAC also manages interactive and intuitive cartographic maps, similar to satellite navigators, able to work even with absent or reduced connectivity, to build a collaborative relationship with citizens thanks to the innovative concept of perceived and participated security.

All this is possible thanks to specialized modules:

APP for Smartphone and Tablet

The citizen APP allows easy access to content and is able to receive notifications on real-time updates from the municipality of Castel Baronia relating to:

- Information, alerts and alerts in real time
- Guides containing the rules of conduct to follow in the event of natural events and emergencies
- Mapping of reference offices, procurement, information and territorial references
- Location of emergency areas: waiting areas, shelter areas, storage areas
- Useful numbers and operational contacts
- State of public services, transport and mobility

The citizen APP also allows you to take advantage of advanced services:
- Reporting to the Operations Center for Help Requests
- Send requests for help and reports to the numbers of the emergency and emergency bodies that have joined (Carabinieri 112, Police 113, Firefighters 115, Health Aid 118, State Forestry Corps 1515, Regional Operating Room 800.232525)
- Compiling a personal profile with useful information, such as social, health and anything else deemed necessary in order to improve the work of the rescuers

The information web portal is also accessible from Smartphone and Tablet devices and houses the tools dedicated to citizens:
- Registration and download form of the APP filled in a user information sheet with mandatory and optional fields that describe the socio-health profile, but also related to other aspects such as, for example, the family's reference components and their contact details) to facilitate the work of rescuers
- Notice board for quick warnings and alert / danger communications
- Section for guides with the description of specific safety procedures and behavioral rules during danger and emergency events
