Finding a satellite TV or an antenna, in azimuth, can be pretty difficult. GPS location, magnetic variation, compass azimuth and satellite azimuth.
Satellite Director replaces all of that. See tips to success below.

WARNING: YOUR PHONE OR TABLET MUST HAVE A COMPASS !!!!
WITHOUT COMPASS YOU CAN NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP.
Check "Satellite Locator" which uses GPS locations to find a satellite.
Some phone / tablet compass are really bad so compare your phone / tablet compass with a real compass !!

Unfortunatly you have to calibrate the compass before using it.
Metal covers / cases or covers / cases with metal / magnetic closure will influence / disrupt the compass of your phone or tablet. Do not use these covers !! The compass of your phone can also be inaccurate because it is affected by other electro - magnetic fields or because it is weakened by age. Calibrating the compass can not help anymore.
PRECISION DEPEND ON THE QUALITY OF YOUR PHONES HARDWARE.
SatFinder (Satellite Finder) is a tool that will help you to install a satellite dish. It will show you the azimuth, altitude and inclination of the LNB corresponding to your position (depending on the GPS) and the satellite selected in the list. The result is displayed as numeric and graphical data on Google Maps. He also built in the compass that will help you find the right satellite azimuth. He can also use augmented reality to show where the satellite is on the camera.

The compass only works on devices with a compass sensor (magnetometer).

How to use this app:

1. First, you need to turn on GPS and Internet on your phone. Remember: In most cases, it is impossible to receive the GPS signal inside buildings. So, if you want to get a very specific location - please approach the windows or even go outside.

In the current version of the application, the location should be found immediately enough. Therefore, if you stick to the "No Location" message, make sure that you have enabled all the required features / permissions.

2. If the application has found your location, you must select the desired satellite. To do this, you must find the icon with a magnifying glass and press it. In the list, you will find all satellites whose elevation angle is greater than zero degrees. Remember: the name of the satellite does not affect the calculation of the angles. The important thing is the position of the satellite.

3. Azimuth, altitude, and incline are calculated based on your position and the chosen satellite. Below the calculated values, there is a compass with a graphical representation of the azimuth angle. The azimuth angle is calculated with a magnetic tilt. Remember - every time you use a compass - you have to calibrate it. The green line represents the azimuth of your phone. So if on the compass the green and red indicators are on top of each other - in front of the phone should you indicate the direction to follow for the satellite. If the compass value is correct, the azimuth value of the phone turns green.
