We present "Visit to Pope Luna", an application conceived for the Castle of Peñíscola with the aim of teaching schoolchildren this magnificent castle and its most famous resident: Benedict XIII or better known as Papa Luna. A castle built by the Order of the Temple who built its walls on an old Muslim building, a Alcazaba. In 1307 it was completely finished, although more than a hundred years later it would not be when Benedict XIII, back in 1411, moved to live in the castle.

This application is part of an educational program of the Provincial Council of Castellón to make known to children in school, primary and secondary the most relevant aspects of the castle and Papa Luna. For this purpose, a program composed of work sheets combined with new technologies has been conceived, where augmented reality plays an important role. Papa Luna himself will appear on the mobile devices of our students, in an entertaining way in the era of technology, explaining to the digital natives the history of the castle and Benedict XIII.
It is composed of educational cards of various activities, a book adapted to each age, and this App. In which we use the aforementioned cards to focus on them with the mobile device, learn key aspects of this space in a very fun way.

These cards are available to the public on the official website of the Castle of Peñíscola (https://castillodepeniscola.dipcas.es/). In this App we also show a map of the castle so that users know the different rooms and the uses they were given. Some anecdotes are also told in some of them.

The final goal is covered if, when the children visit the castle, they already know part of it, and its history thanks to this application, worksheets in the classroom and books.
