Alice wakes up one morning in the middle of Central Park, the blouse covered in blood and handcuffed to a sleeping stranger. Knowing that the day before she chained the cocktails on the Champs-Elysees with her girlfriends and she has no idea how she ended up there, inevitably, it intrigues ... When the unknown has finished pioncer, he will explain to him that he is called Gabriel and remember nothing except that he was the day before playing the piano at the Temple Bar in Dublin, which does not really advance the schmilblick.

This book has nothing to do on this blog, because it's not chick-lit and the love story is very secondary in the plot, but as Actual Woman kindly sent it to me for free, everyone is talking about it and I tell you the color - I liked it, I'm going to say a few words anyway.

Some will say that Musso is not Hugo (note the rhyme) and they will be right. We can not help noticing that as soon as the tension rises a little, it starts to rain halberds and to make all black and we no longer see the road through the windshield wipers that frantically sweep the screen -brise in the image of the soul of the heroine wiped by conflicting and contrasting feelings that rained on his heart (note that it does not mean anything but do not care like the last edition of the Bescherelle). On the other hand, the sun is shining and the birds are singing when all is well.

A little easy, certainly.

That said, I always want to laugh in the face of those who read Musso and are offended that it is not quite at the level of War and Peace, in the same way that I sometimes want to stick rights to people who say that the Mac Do is disgusting (I can become violent when it attacks my true passion: the food, preferably fat and sweet). Guillaume Musso does not pretend to offer us anything but entertainment and a little emotion in this world of crude. He is the French author, the most read, the most purchased and the most translated, it seems particularly inappropriate for me to say that he does not fulfill his contract.

Once again, I'm not one of the usual hysterical fans of William Musso, but once I opened Central Park, I did not rest. The plot is panting and I let myself walk from situation to situation reversal without guessing the end ... And then I like New York and frankly, I had the impression to be there.

In short, a light and fast reading, a few hours of real suspense very entertaining, like going to see a good movie in the cinema.
