Do you love watching pawn, pickers, or antique valuation shows on TV? Do you have items around your house that you inherited or that you’ve purchased at estate sales or auctions that wanted to know the value of? Then download Value It today.

My wife and I love going to estate sales and antique auctions. We often buy something that we really don’t know much about and that the internet isn’t able to provide much guidance on. I have frequently wished I could take the item onto one of those antique valuations shows and ask the experts about the history, and most importantly, how much it is worth. Since it’s not likely I’ll ever make it on TV, I decided to create an app to do it!

Value It allows users to upload photos and descriptions of valuable items around their home. Once listed on Value It, other community members will ask questions and find out more about each item. When each community member is ready, they will post their valuation. The app will then combine all of the estimates to give an overall estimate of the value for each posted item.

Economists have long known that crowdsourced estimates are often more accurate than expert analysis. Value It relies on this theory and hopes to provide you the most accurate estimations possible, all while having fun and learning something.

To make Value It a success we ask that you contribute both ways! If you know something about an item another member has posted, then please share. If you have something you'd like valued, then please post.

For clarity - this is not a marketplace. You may not sell or buy items on Value It. We are a community to help you understand how much your valuables are worth.
This is Value It’s inaugural release! You are able to:
1) Create an account & log in with an email + password or with Facebook
2) Post and edit your valuables
3) Discuss valuables posted on Value It with other community members
4) Add your estimates on how much a valuable is worth
5) View, filter and search for valuables on Value It
6) Value It auto-calculates the estimated value of your valuables
7) You'll see notifications when one of your items is being discussed or valued
