The Funny RSS app is based on the xkcd comic: Substitutions (http://xkcd.com/1288/), which suggests to replace certain (bad/negative) words of news articles with other (funnier/positive) words.

This app was developed as part of the AUToMAte (Automated Usability Testing of Mobile Applications) project of the MINT Group @ FH Oberösterreich F&E, Campus Hagenberg.

The app includes the AUToMAte logging framework, therefore certain information can and will be tracked. The information consists of a variety of different kinds of data, like e.g. the user interactions on widgets, the type of interaction (tap, scale, fling etc.), device information (device type, carrier name, OS information, ...) and also some context information (user activity [still, walking, ...], language, current location etc.).
The collected data is used for analytics as part of the research project. We collect and aggregate this data with data from other users so that it cannot reasonably be used to identify any particular individual user.
