Gilberto Costa, 51, most voted councilor was crowned the history of São Caetano do Sul and is one of the most popular politicians of the Great ABC in São Paulo.

From humble family, he was born in the Federal District, Brasilia. With the death of his mother, at age 11 he moved to St. Andrew to be raised and educated by his older sister to adulthood.

Arrived in Sao Caetano to 19 years old, he studied, worked and served in various branches of activity, such as visual communication, manufacturing, advertising and promotion, graphic, cafeteria and bookstore.

Married to Marcela Facundo, is the father of Samara, Amanda and David and William's grandfather.

Always involved in social causes and political campaigns 20 years ago first took political office elective, and continues to believe in the effectiveness of social rights through public policies.
Was councilor for four terms, Secretary of Sports and Tourism, Chief of Staff and Secretary of Government of Sao Caetano do Sul. He applied to State Representative positions and Federal.

Their mandate as a parliamentarian were always striking, as leader of governments and advocate for public policies directed to the humblest class of the population.

In the first election in 1996, won 1,390 votes; the second election in 2000, won with 2,132 votes; in the third election, in 2004, was re-elected with 3,416 votose the fourth election in 2008, won with 5,883 votes (7% of the votes), becoming the most voted councilor history of São Caetano do Sul and proportion of Brazil.

In 2006, he ran for state representative and obtained one of the best polls in the city. Not elected, but it was a victorious election campaign, because the 20,397 votes have consolidated their popularity.

In 2014, the race to Congressman reached 15,757 votes, insufficient to achieve the electoral quotient. However, besides occupying the third place in the party, he held the title of record votes in the city, reaching over 10% of the votes, competing with 769 candidates for federal deputy who had votes in São Caetano do Sul.

Man of simple habits, but with extensive experience in public administration, parliamentary and policy.

With the slogans: "Leave a better planet for our children" and "Leave better children for our planet," Gilberto focuses its activities in charitable actions for social entities in São Caetano do Sul and region and awareness campaigns to encourage sustainable attitudes.

Currently, Gilberto Costa is President of the National Ecological Party, the PEN51 in São Caetano do Sul.
