In a press conference at the Goela Kembang restaurant, Central Jakarta, Tulus gave a glimpse of what was the inspiration behind the song 'Pamit'.
"I try to describe what separating is like. Split no one succumbs, but both win each other. Both men and women, "said Tulus.
'Pamit' turned out to be the longest recorded song on the Monochrome album. This is because Tulus and producer Ari Renaldi explored many ideas for the song 'Pamit'.

"The process is five months. 'Goodbye' was originally a lot of ideas. We want to use bands, all kinds. But, finally we decided to just use piano and string, "said Tulus.

Tulus wrote almost all the lyrics and melodies on the Monochrome album. Tulus shared the secrets about how the process of creating a song.

"I usually write lyrics that are short stories. Whether written or through imagination. Then filtered again so that there is a structure. From the core of the filtered story, I just made the song. Generally like that, "said Tulus.
