Share.Farm is a free-to-use mobile farmer’s market application. Share.Farm’s digital platform will better connect local food and specialty good providers to local customers, to best meet changing consumer preferences. Share.Farm’s application-based solution provides a platform for local farmers and artisans to easily market and list their products to customers in real-time. Share.Farm also offers producers the option to become Share.Farm Certified; this standard provides value to the consumer and allows local producers a way to brand themselves, without undergoing the expensive and cumbersome USDA/FDA process to certify their goods. Currently, consumers cannot find 24/7 access to locally-grown organic fruits, vegetables and hand-prepared goods. Vendors cannot efficiently locate customers year-round–especially in times of negative projection and are not able to sell all of the goods that they have. There is no mobile technology or means to access local produce, goods or services via a handheld device.

Perhaps most importantly, there is no way to verify the degree to which something is said to be “organic,” “pesticide free,” “non GMO,” etc. Share.Farm provides chemical testing to verify products and visual site inspection to verify each producer's products.

As a producer of organic goods on a non major scale I have no real venue to sell my products. As a consumer who desires pesticide free, organic food I have no way to find these producers. Share.Farm solves this problem by creating a micro-social network along with a trading platform for producers and consumers to find, rate, and spend with each other. Additionally, Share.Farm allows for easy delivery options or pickup for the goods. Lastly, utilizing Bitcoin as one of the ways to transact business, we insure that the application can operate independently of other market forces.

By developing this community we become healthier inside and create conscious stewardship of our planet. We used a symbiotic model to engage the local populace in an allied network of community contacts, which will boost the infrastructure of a local economy; creating revenue for our local businesses, and providing the consumer a direct link to organics, healthy medicinal alternatives, insight and access to vendor goods or services that they may not have heard about in the local area. Share.Farm is a free-to-use app that provides a pipeline for large or small quantities of produce or goods by allowing vendors to sell produce and inexpensively get certified and rated by consumers. It allows consumers to know where goods are located, whether or not delivery is an option, the ratings of a vendor and whether they have certified produce. Share.Farm will ultimately use a crowdsourced grower verification model, teaching growers and producers to gather the correct items for chemical testing and visually verify specific data points.
