Fundada em 1988, a Rádio Acaiaca FM Stereo Ltda iniciou suas atividades em Diamantina. Era uma grande conquista para a cidade, uma vez que só havia a Radio Cultura de Diamantina AM. Posteriormente, surgiriam outras várias emissoras com o passar dos anos.
Em breve, Diamantina terá nada mais nada menos que 7 emissoras em funcionamento, o que dificulta em muito a qualidade dos serviços, pois há necessidade de se adequar as novas tecnologias e investimento em pessoal, o que custa muito caro e o comércio – principal e único gerador de renda para a emissora – não comporta tamanha oferta.

Hoje a Rádio Acaiaca FM Stereo responde por quase 42% da audiência em Diamantina e região, estando presente em 16 municípios circunvizinhos que recebem o nosso sinal. Uma rádio jovem que não se furta de entreter todos os segmentos da sociedade, englobando ouvintes dos 8 aos 80 anos com uma programação variada, notícias, prêmios e promoções.
A Rádio Acaiaca FM Stereo Ltda, tem potência direta de 1.5 Kw e usa a nomenclatura fantasia de Rádio Mundo Mix FM na frequência 97,5 MHz, com sede própria na Rua Elvira Ramos Couto, 194, no Bairro Bom Jesus em Diamantina, MG.

Agradecemos a todos os locutores e funcionários que passaram pela emissora e contribuíram para o seu crescimento: ex-secretárias Suzy, Fernanda, Tatiane, aos locutores Wirk, Tony Mota, Paulo Castilho, Alessandra, Rogério Adriano, Idelbrando, Bento Veloso Junior, Jailson, Adriana Senna, a Gislene Kelly (ex-contato comercial e locutora), Marco e Erick, grandes amigos que fazem parte de nossa história.

A Rádio Mundo Mix hoje conta com os principais locutores da região: Fernanda Guerra, Lecão Araújo, Renata Cordeiro e Glaubert Moreira, tem na retaguarda Ediberto Silvino (o mais antigo funcionário da emissora), Ludmila Godinho e Sidney Almeida: uma equipe pequena, mas que se agiganta e cumpre o seu papel de forma brilhante e profissional.
