Native Speaker is an ESL App developed by ESL teachers that will help English learners practice and improve their English speaking and listening skills. It was designed by ESL teachers to address their student's complaints that the English they learned in school was not like the English they heard spoken in Western movies. Most ESL students learn one way to express something in English, while Native English speakers can express one thing in a dozen ways.

ESL students are not taught alternative ways of saying expressions, nor are they taught where the stresses should appear when speaking these expressions. As a result many ESL students are afraid to
speak English and often fail to understand what a native English speaker is saying. In many cases it stops them from improving their English speaking and listening skills. Native Speaker was designed to help correct these problems.

The Native Speaker APP has bundled formal expressions students already know and offers them other more natural ways of saying the same thing. For instance, ESL students will learn the expression, “How are you?” without exploring the other ways native English speakers say the same thing. Examples of this would include: “How's it going?”, “How are things?” and many, many others.

The Native Speaker APP gives ESL learners access to hundreds of alternative expressions right on their phone that will help them speak more like a native English speaker, improve their English listening skills and boost their confidence that they can master the language.
