In this post, I am going to show you how to install Family Story on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install Family Story using BlueStacks

Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
Once installed, click "Family Story" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

Family Story helps to foster family tie, it links the family members and creates photo story and displays it as a slide show for each of them, etc.

Each family is presented in a view with parent and children (described here as a family unit), as shown in the second and third screenshots above.

To navigate from one family unit to another related family unit, click at any family member in the screen. You can navigate to family unit of another sibling, or navigate up or down to family unit of another generation.

Photos of each family member are stored and organised in separate folder automatically for each family member.

Add a short description for each of the photo, use the descriptions and photos to tell a story of a family member, and present them in a slide show.

Family Story is a good and convenient app for sharing and updating family updates especially during family events like festive gathering, wedding, etc.

Updating the latest look (the thumbnail photo) of each member or sharing and updating the member story in the slide show, also updating and add in distant cousin, that you hardly meet, and the relationship into the app. It is fun and joyful to bring back old and new memories during these relax and happy events.

All data and photos are stored locally in your device. This valuable family info can be backed-up for safe keeping. It can also be passed to your loved ones for them to install into their devices and to continue updating the info and story.

Tips for creating a story:
Use photo from newly captured one or from your digital album, or snap the old hard copy photo with your phone, add some meaningful short description and rearrange the sequence if necessary, then create a memorable story for your own appreciation or share it with your loved ones. All this can be down easily just with your phone and this Family Story app.
