Step By Step Guide To Install LuxMeter - Measure Light Intensity using BlueStacks

It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.

New smartphones feature ambient light sensor which are very accurate, enough to give you confidence about your home lighting design.

To have a rough idea of the values you should expect, please consider real world lighting scenarios below:

1lx-10lx: very dim light, e.g. a candle from 1m distance
10lx-100lx: diffuse light in a room, e.g. a 60W 800lm lightbulb at 1m distance gives approximately 64lx
100lx-1000lx: soft daylight, or, e.g. a set of 3 100W 1600lm lightbulbs at 1m distance give approximately 384lx
1000lx-10000lx: daylight

Recommended light levels:
Public areas with dark surroundings 20 - 50

Simple orientation for short visits 50 - 100

Working areas where visual tasks are only occasionally performed 100 - 150
