Push up the core of the exercise is not how much movement you can do. No need to worry that you will look less manly than the friend next to you who do more push-up movement. What is important is retaining the gradual and controlled movement and maintaining body remains straight and parallel with the floor. Do not let the central part of your body curved downwards because it will put pressure on the shoulder joint and can cause injury or less than the maximum results.
