Ali bin Abi Talib bin Abd al-Muttalib al-Hashemi al-Qurashi (13 Rajab 23 BC / 17 March 599 CE - 21 Ramadan 40 AH / 27 January 661AD) cousin of Muhammad Ibn Abdullah, the Prophet of Islam and his son-in-law, from his household, and his sponsor when his parents and grandfather died, One of his companions is the fourth adult caliph of the Sunnis, one of the ten preachers of heaven and the first imams of the Shiites.
He was born in Mecca, and sources of history indicate that his birth was in the hollow of the Kaaba, and his mother, Fatima, the daughter of Asad Hashemite. He became Muslim before the Prophet’s migration, and he is the second or third person to enter Islam, and the first to be Muslim from the boys. He immigrated to Medina three days after the migration of Muhammad and his brother Muhammad with himself when he was brother among Muslims, and his wife, his daughter Fatima, in the second year of migration.
Ali participated in all the invasions of the Messenger except for the Battle of Tabuk, where Muhammad succeeded him on the city. Known for his intensity and skill in fighting, he was an important factor in the victory of Muslims in various battles, most notably the Battle of the Trench and the Battle of Khaybar. Ali was trusted by the Prophet Muhammad, and he was one of the book of revelation and one of his most important ambassadors and ministers.
Ali bin Abi Talib's position and his relationship with the companions of the Messenger are considered a subject of historical and ideological disagreement between the various Islamic groups. They also see that some of the Companions ’relationship with him was tense. On the contrary, some deny that such an induction took place, and believe that the relationship of the messenger companions with him was good and stable.
