Test your ability to spot intervals you hear. Listen to two notes and determine the distance between them. Great for musicians and anyone who wants to practice linking what you hear to what’s notated. Especially good practice for sight-singing, and builds overall musicianship for anyone on any instrument.

It’s simple: You will be given a play button, and several choices of note pairs on a staff. Press the play button to hear the interval, and select the correct notation. If you get it right the first time, your rating goes up, and difficulty increases based on rating.

Your rating affects factors like interval size and direction, which intervals are possible, and how many choices you must pick from.

The sound is generated by your device's MIDI player. You can choose any available MIDI instrument to hear your intervals with, let it randomize or stay on your favorite. Change at any time.
v1.1
- app rotates properly now
- instrument is acoustic grand piano by default instead of random
- added info popups describing rating details and instrument selection
- now includes an option to disable the flying note glyph particles in the background
- ads are gone
