GraphLock is an application that will turn a user’s phone into a fully functionality scientific and graphing calculator. The calculator is simple to use, yet powerful. What sets it apart from other calculator apps is its unique Lockdown feature that disables all phone functions (calls, texts, notification, internet, etc.) and turns the user’s phone solely into a calculator. Therefore, per school policy, GraphLock is designed to be used in the classroom and testing environments. GraphLock can also be used in non-lockdown mode where the user’s phone will function normally. GraphLock also ensures the user will not have to carry around a calculator separately from his/her phone anymore. Use it anytime, anywhere! With GraphLock, users will never have to carry around a calculator again!

This app acts as an Admin on your phone so that it can be secure for testing environments. Therefore, you will need to remove it as admin before uninstalling. To do so please follow the below steps:

Goto settings->lock screen and security->other security settings-> phone administrators-> then turn off the GraphLock app

You should then be able to uninstall like normal. Please email info@graphlock.com with any questions.


Features:
Lockdown mode that disables all normal phone functions. The user will not be able to close out of the app or get into any other apps until the correct passcode (set by teacher and/or test proctor) is entered or the lockdown timer runs out.

Non-Lockdown mode is also available where the user’s phone will function as normal.

The scientific calculator capabilities will include:
• Easy to use with arithmetic functions, exponentiation, Square root, nth root, natural log, absolute value, trig values, radians, degrees

The graphing capabilities will include:
• Graphing up to five equations at once where graphs will be color coded and labeled
• Users may hit + or - (or drag and pinch) to zoom in and out (instead of setting a specific window)
• Coming soon - Users may find roots, intersections, trace the graph, maximums, and minimums

How it Works

GraphLock is a free app with an upgradable purchase within the app. The free version will be a scientific and graphing calculator only. The paid version will contain the Lockdown mode capabilities and will also remove all advertisements.

Once the user has upgraded to the paid version, per school policy, the user will be able to use GraphLock in testing environments and classrooms.

The user will first choose whether to “use calculator” (non-lockdown mode) which will keep all phone functionalities running as normal or to “enter lockdown” which will prompt for a lockdown timer and passcode (created by instructor/proctor) to be entered.

Once the instructor/proctor hits “enter lockdown” the timer will begin and the user will not be able to exit out of the GraphLock application.

To exit Lockdown Mode, the user will select “tap to unlock” where the password request prompt will appear again and the correct passcode must by typed in by the instructor/proctor to unlock the phone or the lockdown timer will run out.

Once out of Lockdown Mode, the phone will function as normal.

GraphLock app is designed to also be used within the classroom. The instructor may create a passcode and set the time limit for the class length, so the phone will automatically unlock once class is over.
