In this post, I am going to show you how to install Fridge Controller (Unreleased) on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Step By Step Guide To Install Fridge Controller (Unreleased) using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. This app allows to connect via BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) to Tierra devices and Ascon thermostats.
It is possible to scan BLE devices and then to connect with them.

As soon as the connection is ready the device will start sending data read from the associated thermostat.
These data will be available in the app within few seconds.

The app is organized in four main panels.
The first panel shown after the connection will contain real-time information about:
* the utilities status - compressor, defrost, fan and light;
* the refrigerator room temperature;
* the evaporator temperature;
* the current setpoint;
* the voltage.

The second panel is shown by swiping it to left the first panel.
It will contain widgets to command the following actions and configurations:
* defrost activation/deactivation command;
* fridge lock/unlock command;
* door switch enable/disable command;
* temperature setpoints setting and selection.

Swiping the panel to the left once again, the third panel will appear.
It will show the total counters values:
* refrigerator total working hours;
* compressor working hours;
* defrost working hours;
* evaporator fan working hours;
* light working hours;
* door open counter;
* manual defrost counter;
* automatic defrost counter.

The panel after a last left swipe will show alarms, if any.
If the thermostat buzzer is active due to an active alarm, by pressing on the correspondent signal in this panel will mute it (it doesn't remove the alarm, just mute the buzzer).

On all the panels two buttons are always visible and available, to retrieve historical data and to disconnect from the current device.
This history retrieval function is only available for Bronze versions; the Gold version sends data directly to the server, so no historical information are available in this case.
