Pocket DataLog allows you to capture datalogs from your EBL Flash modified GM ECM using your Android device!

This app has been developed and tested using the same FTDI interface as sold by Dynamic EFI on a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Most popular USB serial interfaces - from FTDI, Silicon Labs, Prolific, and more - should be supported.

You will need a micro USB adapter to connect the FTDI interface to the micro USB connector on most Android devices. An example of this is the C&E brand "Micro USB to USB OTG Adapter Cable" sold by Amazon for under five dollars. Simply use this short cable to connect your FTDI USB serial interface to your phone.

This application is meant to be as simple as possible. Launch the app, connect your EBL to your USB device, and click Start DataLog when you are ready to begin writing EBL data to the log file. Its that simple.

When you click Start DataLog, a new log file is automatically placed in your Downloads folder, named with the date/time the log was started. This way you can keep your eyes on the road instead of typing in a filename. The file can always be renamed later.

Drive around and let Pocket DataLog record the EBL data stream to file. The capture cannot be interrupted and will continue as you use other applications, receive phone calls/texts, and so on, as long as you keep your EBL connected.

Once your data logging session has finished, click the Stop button. You can then move the saved log file in your Downloads folder to your PC using methods such as emailing it to yourself, Dropbox/OneDrive, and so forth.

Once the file is on your PC you can then load it into WUD to view/export the data.

I will be adding some additional tweaks every couple of weeks. Support for real time display of all EBL statistics is slated for the first quarter of 2017 but I need some testing to tweak a couple of items I'm not 100% sure I am displaying properly, typically related to boosted applications. If you have a boosted application please let me know!

Please feel free to contact me and let me know how you like this app. I welcome suggestions for enhancements you would like to see. If you have difficulty using the app I will try to help you the best I can.

This software is free of cost, free of ads, and will always remain so. This is my way of giving back to all the kind people who take their time teaching and helping others with their tunes on sites like ThirdGen.org.
