In this post, I am going to show you how to install ePRINTit - 1st App \ on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install ePRINTit - 1st App \ using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "ePRINTit - 1st App \" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

[Note 2] about Bluetooth: At the moment, support for Bluetooth is not available on BlueStacks. Hence, apps that require control of Bluetooth may not work on BlueStacks.

The app enables LDAP authentication (from participating schools), mobile payments to top up your account, file uploads and print job releases from your ePRINTit cloud account. The ePRINTit app is a private cloud-based solution that provides mobile multi-device users with the most convenient and accessible printing.

Features:
• Easily print from your phone to any ePRINTit connected kiosk (ePRINTit mobile print kiosk service must be available for print job release)
• Printing on-the-go! Take advantage of ePRINTit Print Locations within your campus or retail locations. Find the nearest location, pay in the app, and hit print at a kiosk, your private cloud ensures the privacy of your printed material.

How it works:
1. Open the ePRINTit app and login (1) using your campus credentials or the credentials provided from ePRINTit.
2. Review your account for available funds. If none exist add some using the integrated payment top up feature.
3. Upload content (3) (Print photos, PDFs and Microsoft Office documents) to your account from the app. If you have Dropbox, google drive, etc. (2) installed on your device, you can access and upload files directly to be stored in the ePRINTit cloud for print at any of our kiosks.
4. For Campus Print Locations, use the print locations button to show the available kiosks.
5. Go to any kiosk, login and get your printout.

Supported Environment
• Works on Android 2.3.x to 4.4.x

(1) Access to the ePRINTit cloud service and uploading content requires Internet and email-capable device running Android 2.2 or newer, with separately purchased wireless Internet service.
(2) Other apps must provide individual access to files and enable exposure to these registered document type handlers from Android.
(3) Pre-Release limitation: The max file size for any document or photo cannot exceed 3.7 MB. (This limitation will be removed in the next update)
