In this post, I am going to show you how to install Fix Power Button on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install Fix Power Button using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen

This app helps you to reduce the usage of the power button to lock/unlock you screen. It can also be useful when you power button starts to miss clicks or require more pressure to work.

- To lock your phone: when phone is awake and unlocked simply swipe at the bottom (or top) of the screen. Your phone will lock and turn off the screen.

- To unlock your phone: when phone is sleeping, simply swipe shortly over the proximity sensor.

- To change the volume (system sound, ringer or multimedia): swipe on the right (or left) of the screen

To reduce battery drain it is possible to set an awakeness time for the proximity sensor (turn off proximity sensor during the night)

This app DOESN'T require to root your phone, it can work on stock roms (tested on Nexus 4 and Galaxy Nexus). Anyway to work properly
This app uses the Device Administrator permission.

When first launch, accept to give administrator permissions to the app. It is required solely to lock your phone

Before remove the app, go on settings, then security and finally device administrators.
Uncheck the box "Fix Power Button"
