Step By Step Guide To Install Hieroglyphic Flashcards 2 using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.

Hieroglyphic Flashcards 2 is a tool that will help you remember uniliterals, biliterals and triliterals hieroglyphs.

-Intelligent Lists. This is your first stop. When you start learning Middle Egyptian, you usually have a paper with the most common hieroglyphs near you at all time. The lists are here to replace that piece of paper. Their basic function is the same, but they adapt to you. Everytime you give an answer in a flashcard or an excercise, the app will save it and change your lists accordingly. A red tile means that you have trouble remembering the corresponding hieroglyph. Green and yellow tiles are glyphs you know.

-Flashcards. Watching lists of glyphs is important to memorize them. But you also need to stimulate your brain to force it to absorb it all. The flashcards will present you with a hieroglyph and you will have to find the correct translitteration.

-Featured Hieroglyph. Everytime you launch the app, a glyph and its translitteration appear on your screen.

-Exercises. Test yourself with 7 exercises. You will find these exercices in most beginner methods (slightly adapted to fit with Middle Egyptian) : Modern Names, True or False, Reverse, Multiple Choices, Odd One Out, Timed Challenge, Sudden Death.
