Step By Step Guide To Install SDMS U-DISE using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "SDMS U-DISE" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

The U-DISE is the largest EMIS in the country, provides the necessary data for planning and managing school education. Besides, the U-DISE data are used extensively for planning and monitoring development interventions in the SSA and RMSA. Now, U-DISE also serves as the major source of official statistics. There is, therefore, a need for to have a master directory of schools. This directory will help identify schools that are not covered under U-DISE.

How U-DISE code is generated?

The process of getting a U-DISE Code for a school starts with a school registering itself through the SDMS portal. After successful initialization of school, corresponding Block Education Officers(BEO) are get notified. After that Block Education Officers(BEO) map this school to a cluster and send the school for details verification at the mapped cluster. After successful verification from cluster official, Block Education Officers(BEO) can take approve/reject actions for that school. A provisional U-DISE Code is generated for the school when school is approved by Block Education Officers(BEO). After approvals from the Block Education Officers(BEO), the school is approved by District Education officers(DEO) to generate a final U-DISE Code for the school.

In case of Block education officers(BEO) is not authorized to approve a school(for secondary and higher Secondary schools) or are absent for long duration the request for the generation the U-DISE code would be automatically transferred to District Education Officers(DEO) three days after initialization of school.

This process will take 10-15 days to complete.
