If you are looking for a low cost, easy to use software application to implement and manage your cross connection control program, then look no further.  Are you tired of daily tasks of completing and filing paperwork?  There is a "green" solution - GARDER®.

GARDER® is a comprehensive, secure cloud based cross connection control and backflow prevention program management SaaS software application that allows the user to document surveys and hazards, letter distribution, test reports, and much more. Internet access through a WI-FI connection is the ultimate way to access GARDER® while performing cross connection control surveys or performing tests on backflow preventers.

Let's take a look at the features of GARDER®:

Setup
Import basic water system customer data using provided Excel spreadsheet. (Water Systems desiring to import existing survey and backflow preventer data will require a more extensive import task unless the data is manually input). During the setup process, the water system's company letterhead can be input for official letter distribution upon the completion of the surveys.

Surveys
Customer data can be filtered using one of the applications many different parameters.  For instance, if the goal is to perform drive-by surveys in residential areas in a specific section of the system, simply filter the Site Type data by residential then by Service Street.  These filtering parameters will provide only those residential customers on a specific street to be displayed!  If your goal is to perform technical surveys in commercial areas, simply filter by Service Street or Sequence/Route to display your focus area. (Hint: Sequence/Route allows for maximum efficiency since surveys are performed business to business regardless of the street name.)  Each of these filtering mechanisms allow for significant time saving operations when performing surveys.

During the survey process, hazard identification conditions such as pollutant/contaminant and backsiphonage/backpressure along with backflow preventer information for the hazard are documented.  Once the identification is complete, assignment of letter type and the test due date can easily be input in the field for increased efficiency prior to letter distribution.  The software even allows for the user to sight applicable code and captures coordinates for the hazard!

Letter Distribution
Letter distribution is as simple as filtering for the selected letters, then printing or emailing.  It's that easy! Records of the letters by date and type are saved for future reference.

Tester Tracking
Having trouble with non-approved testers and plumbers working within your water system?  Not anymore! GARDER® allows the user to track the tester's certification credentials and the calibration of their test equipment.

Test Report Data Entry
Wouldn't it be great to reduce or eliminate the burdensome task of entering test report data? Better yet, wouldn't it be awesome if someone else did it for you!  Sure it would. With GARDER®, program administrators can allow plumbers and testers limited access to enter test report data.  This feature alone can save many hours for staff personnel and allow work to be performed on other important tasks.

Reports
GARDER® allows the user to print and distribute various reports depending on the need. For instance, if a test report for a specific backflow preventer is needed, filter to the desired device and print the report. GARDER® even allows the administrator to print a summary of the existing program through the “snapshot” feature.
Changes in the new version:
- added filtering of letters by test due date in the Letters tab
- update option "Set install test due date" is removed from the Sites tab to avoid duplicated logic and now is available only in Hazards tab
