Skills oriented, there is much focus on your dog gaining the necessary social skills which encourages the dog to be invincible in a bomb-proof sort of way, just what is needed to help people cope with PTSD, ASD or anxiety & depression. Estimated time to do the programme is 18 months to 2 years, but you and your dog control the pace.

APP access is included in the service supplied to SDT Clients, or can be purchased independently from any possible hands-on assistance agreement or support. Try the Train your own service dog APP intro for free for so you can experience if the APP is for you. If it is, you can access the APP in manageable chunks or purchase by Tier. Tier One is about obedience, communication and working with your dog in the outside world (no coat
required). Upon completion, you can buy Tier Two, which will take you into the inside world – and a coat and ID card will be supplied as part of this 2nd level training. This Tier also includes practical exercises to help with any physical needs.
