Children die every day in age do not exceed year-old mothers who are pregnant or during childbirth in remote areas of the country (indigenous regions).
Verbal communication of doctors who treat these areas is based entirely by translators, preventing direct communication between doctor and patient.
We have developed the app Glind (Glossary of Health Indigenous Languages) to serve as an intermediary communication for foreign doctors located in the different indigenous areas, it serves to learn and communicate directly in the native language.
Glind is a glossary that features 200 common phrases and medical terminologies, which in turn is divided into different sections such as are (Greetings-Receptions-Relations, requests for tests, medical procedures, medical history, general medicine, traditional medicine and recommendations general). Each phrase has its writing in Spanish and translation native language of the region, in turn audios in both languages and allusive to the same images, it has a system based on design-centered design user which makes it possible to have a friendly interface simple and easy to understand for any user.
Glind has the following languages: Guna, Ngäbe and Embera.
The same indigenous language may vary depending on the region.
