This book is a compulsory reading at Barzanji or diba 'events which is a routine program for some Muslims in Indonesia.

This Barzanji book is contained in the book Majmu'atu Mawalid wa-Ad'iyyah which is a collection of several writings such as: Qoshidah Burdah, Maulid Syarafil Anam, Maulid Barzanji, Aqidatul Awwam, Rotib al-Haddad, Maulid Diba'i, and others .

It is named Al-Barjanzy because it is attributed to the name of the author's village which is located in the Barjanziyah area of Akrad (Kurdistan). The book's original name is' Iqd al-Jawahir (Arabic, means necklace of gems) some scholars state that the name of the essay is "Iqdul Jawhar fi mawlid anNabiyyil Azhar." which was composed to increase the love of the Prophet Muhammad, although later it was better known by the name of the author.

He was born in Madinah Al Munawwarah on Thursday, the beginning of the month of Zulhijjah in 1126 H (1711 AD). He memorized Al-Quran 30 Juz to Shaykh Ismail Alyamany and Tashih Quran (mujawwad) to Shaykh Yusuf Asho'idy then studied naqliyah (quran and Haditz) and 'Aqliyah from scholars of the Nabawi mosque of Madinah Al Munawwarah and regional qabilah figures. Barjanzi then studied nahwu, sharaf, mantiq, Ma'ani, Badi ', Faraidh, Khat, reckoning, fiqh, ushul fiqh, philosophy, wisdom, engineering, lughah, mustalah science hadith, tafsir, hadith, jurisprudence, Sirah Nabawi, the knowledge of history, all of that was studied as long as he sat studying with the ulama of the Nabawi mosque. And when he reaches 31 years old or it coincides with 1159 AH, then he will become a 'Alim wal' Allaamah and a great Ulama.
