Among the phenomenal books in the field of Nahwu Science is the book Al-Ajurumiyah written by Abu Abdillah Muhammad Bin Muhammad Bin Daun Ash-Shanhaji or commonly known as Ibn Aj-jurumi Ash-Shonhaji. This book is a concise book that contains the basic principles of nahwu science. Therefore many madrassas and pesantren make this book the starting point for beginner students in learning nahwu.


However, we need to know that behind the birth of the Jurumiyah book it turns out there is a story that we should know. The story that shows the great hope of the compiler (Sheikh Ash-Shonhaji) of his book so that it can be useful and solely hopes for the blessing of Allah SWT. It was narrated by Sheikh Ismail Bin Musa Al-Hamidi Al-Maliki (an Al-Azhar Sheikh) in his book Khasyiyah 'ala Al-Kafrawi, that; when Sheikh Ash-Shonhaji finished writing the book jurumiyah he then went to sea and threw his work. He said:



"If the book is pure (made) because of Allah Ta'ala, then it will not be wet."


And sure enough. The book is still intact without being wet and without being damaged. Until finally we can read this young book now. In another history as stated in Tahqiq Al-Jurumiyah quotes from Al-Hafnawi hasyiyah. That when Sheikh Ash-Shanhaji finished compiling the book Jurumiyah, at that time he was in a high-ranking majlis. Then he threw his jurumiyah into the air and said:


"O God, if the book is pure (made) because of You, then return it to me."

So, that's right. The book returns to the hands of sincere authors.


The story above shows how jurumiyah was made with sincerity and hoping for divine pleasure. Not surprisingly, now the book remains a basic reference in the field of Nahdah science in the corners of the world even though it was made hundreds of years ago. And the wisdom: We must do everything that is good with a sincere goal because of Allah Ta'ala.


Because, something that runs in the sincerity and obedience of Allah SWT will be a blessing which then produces great things even though it is simple. *
