Big Bang (Hangul: 빅뱅) is a South Korean boy band formed by YG Entertainment. This group officially debuted on August 19, 2006 with five members, namely G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung and Seungri. Dominated by the flow of hip hop, their debut was quite successful with the first album Bigbang Vol.1 which sold 48,000 copies. Their success shot after the release of their first mini album, Always, with the single "Lies" (Hangul: 거짓말; RR: Geojitmal). The song dominated the Korean charts for seven consecutive weeks [3] and brought the group to the 'Song of the Year' award at the Mnet Korean Music Festival 2007. [4]

Their next mini album also follows the success of their previous album, Hot Issue with the single "Last Farewell" (Hangul: 마지막 인사; RR: Majimak Insa) and Stand Up with the single "Day by Day" (Hangul: 하루 하루; RR: Haru Haru) .
