Step By Step Guide To Install RESCUER Mobile Solution using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. RESCUER stands for Reliable and Smart Crowdsourcing Solution for Emergency and Crisis Management. It is a Collaborative Project supported by the European Commission and MCTI/CNPq (FP7-614154 | CNPq-490084/2013-3). Its Mobile Crowdsourcing Solution (MCS), which is also referred as RESCUER app, supports the communication between civilians, supporting forces and workforces at the place of an incident and the command and control centre. The app is available in three languages: English, German and Portuguese. Its features are:
• Confirming the occurrence of the accident (one-tap interaction and GPS position)
• Describing the incident (photo/video and/or selection of pre-defined options)
• Providing further information (text or voice message)
• Precisely informing the position of the incident (point on a map)
• Answering specific questions of the command and control centre
• Receiving guidance from the command and control centre
Additionally the following features are available for working forces
• Getting initial information about the accident from the command and control
• Querying actions (reinforcement or evacuation)
• Updating the command and control centre about taken actions and emergency status
