Nervo is an e-learning mobile application designed to improve the learning experience of elementary students studying the Central and Peripheral Nervous Systems. Through employing Augmented Reality and Image Processing, it aims to both improve the learning process of the elementary students and immerse them in an interactive and effective learning experience.

To make learning more engaging and fun, we improved the learning experience of the students through employing Augmented Reality in the Learning Module.

The interaction of the user with a specific learning module starts with the AR camera where the user has to capture the target image to render the 3D model of the specified organ (figure). Once the model is successfully rendered on the screen, options are given whether the user would review the main model of the system or its divisions and their respective functions (figure). Each organ is comprised of different divisions and their functions.

In the learning module, it is possible to pinch, move and zoom in and out the models once they are successfully rendered. Information about the organs and their functions can both be seen on the screen and heard through the audio clip.

Tired of looking at static images and words? Don’t worry, Nervo offers Augmented Video Learning Materials for you to watch, learn and enjoy.

Nervo Video Modules is a feature of the application that employs augmented reality to render specified video when the target image is captured (figure). Nervo Video Modules is a collection of videos focusing on the nervous systems topics found in the Nervous System and Endocrine System chapter of the book Science: A Field of Wonder.
Nervo has Augmented Learning Module and Video Learning Materials? How cool is that? But let me tell you something cooler! Nervofy.

Without restricting the user of the set target images from the book and employing Image Classification, Nervofy is a feature of the application that allows the student to scan and capture other images of the Central Nervous System and its organs.

Detect and Recognize the image real time? Cool, right?
Are you into Trivias? Don’t worry, Nervo has its Nervo Trivia feature.

Nervo Trivia is a feature that helps in engaging students to have easier knowledge retention and acts as a trivia corner of the application. This feature lists the uncommon words found in the nervous systems' topics and facts about the nervous systems.

But wait. There’s more. Nervo has its own way of checking whether you learned or not! Nervo has its Nervo Quiz.

To review whether you were able to effectively study and learn in Nervo, Nervo Quiz is a feature of the application that integrates for types of test: Multiple Choice, Modelification, True or False and Identification. Through this feature, students are able to review what they’ve learned from Nervo’s Learning Module and prepare for an upcoming class quiz.
