Poppy Yusfidawaty or Poppy Mercury (born in Bandung, November 15, 1972 - died in Bandung, West Java, August 28, 1995 at the age of 22) is a slow rock Indonesian singer. He is the 5th child of 7 siblings. He was popular in the 90s through the song "Surat Undangan" and "Between Jakarta and Penang"
Poppy died on August 28, 1995 at Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Bandung due to ulcer complications, bronchitis / sore throat or better known as the diphtheria and rheumatism he suffered. The last Poppy show was at the Padang Fair, precisely on August 2, 1995. Actually, Poppy's health condition before leaving had declined and he planned to cancel the show, but the committee reminded many viewers who were disappointed if Poppy was not present. Finally Poppy granted the committee's request for work professionals and his love for his fans.

After returning from the show, Poppy also had to share souvenirs he bought in Padang to his family, but the next day Poppy's health condition immediately declined. Poppy never wanted to be taken to a hospital because he preferred to be treated by a doctor at home. On August 25, 1995, due to his worsening condition, Poppy was rushed to Hasan Sadikin Hospital, Bandung, and on Monday 28 August 1995 at 6:30 a.m. Poppy also breathed his last breath after previously being unconscious. The late Poppy Mercury was interred at Sirna Raga TPU Bandung. [1] He died shortly after the death of Zainal abidin in January and Nike Ardilla in March. After Nike died, Deddy Dores wanted to make Poppy as his successor, as the successor who brought his songs, but only one song was sung Poppy's condition was very severe even his doctor advised to pause from singing. After his death, Poppy was still productively releasing albums and singles, even though the song was still the same, only changing covers.
