TivCatholicLink is a platform that provides a range of online services for the Catholic Church in Tivland. This covers Makurdi Diocese, Gboko Diocese and Katsina-Ala Diocese.

TCL is an independent body, without any attachment to any diocese in Tivland but it is working for and with them for the evangelization of the gospel. It is indeed a gift to the Catholic Church not only in the Tivland but the Catholic Church at large.

We focus on gathering and digitalization of Catholic resources both in Tiv and English language and making them available to all those who need them.

As a platform for a new evangelization, in his documents to the church (2003), St. John Paul II encouraged Catholics to use the internet to proclaim the gospel and also strongly cautioned the church about the dangers that will accompany in the process.

According to Pope Benedict XVI, the Church "cannot allow its message to be outside the spaces in which numerous young people navigate in search of answers and of meaning for their lives, you must seek ways to spread voices and images of hope in new formats."

While, Pope Francis regard modern communications as “a gift of God which involves great responsibility," that "the Internet could be used to build a society which is healthy and open to sharing". Also "Social networks can facilitate relationships and promote the good of society, but at the same time warned that they can also lead to further polarization and division between individuals and groups,"

TivCatholicLink, therefore, is using the internet wisely to reach out to the whole world. The frequently updating of the website is done with the information got from the three dioceses in Tivland and above all the news about the Catholic Church at large.

Thanks and God bless you all.
