In this post, I am going to show you how to install Flappy Droid on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Play Flappy Droid using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "Flappy Droid" icon on the home screen to start playing, it'll work like a charm :D

HOW TO PLAY:

The game is played by one player. Touch the screen to make the robot jump. The goal is to pass through the tubes and avoid falling down at the same time.

SCORE SYSTEM:

You get 1 point when you pass through green tubes, 2 points when you pass through yellow tubes and 3 points when you pass through red tubes. Enter a name when you die to save your final score.

HEALTH SYSTEM:

You lose 10% health when you collide with green tube, 20% health when you collide with yellow tube and 30% health when you collide with red tube.

ABOUT TUBE COLORS:

The number of tube colors grows as you progress through the levels.
On level 1 there are only green tubes. On level 2 there are green and yellow tubes. On level 3, 4, 5 and 6, there are green, yellow and red tubes.

DIFFICULTIES:

You can choose from 3 different difficulties: easy, normal and hard. By default, normal difficulty is set. The harder mode you choose, your character moves.

GAME MODES:

There are two available game modes for each level.
1. Task mode, where you have to pass through a given of number of tubes. You unlock the next level when you complete the previous one in task mode.
2. Score mode, where your goal is to gain as many scores as you can.

COLLECTIBLE ITEMS:

There are two types of collectibles in the game: health and gravitation. Health is present on level 4 to 6; gravitation is only present on level 4. When you pick up health, your health restores by 10%. When you pick up gravitation, the direction of the gravitation reverses until you survive 3 tubes.
There is a bonus task on level 4. Collect all of the letters, and the robot will shoot one more bullet on level 5 and 6.

ENEMIES:

Enemies are only present on level 5 and 6.
On level 5, after you survive 10 tubes, they attack in waves. Their number grows by 5 each wave. They can come from 3 different directions: up, down and right. Your goal is to avoid their bullets and defeat them at the same time. When you are hit by an enemy, you lose 10% health and you are immune to damage for a short period of time.
On level 6, they move up and down, between the top tube and the bottom tube. They don’t shoot. When you collide with them, you lose 20% health on easy, and 30% health on normal difficulty. On hard difficulty, you have to defeat them, before colliding either them or one of the tubes, otherwise the game is over.

USER INTERFACE:

Your health and your score are displayed on the top of the screen. One red health block represents 10% health.
In task mode, the remaining number of tubes is displayed below the health bar.
On level 4, the direction of the gravitation is indicated by a red arrow, below the score bar. The progress of the bonus task is also displayed there.
On level 5, the remaining number of enemies is displayed below the score bar.
