Commonspop is a collaborative platform, designed as a sharing tool around cities and neighborhoods. The platform has been developed to be easy to use and intuitive so that everyone can seize and post content.
With Commonspop, the goal is to go beyond the homogenizing, stigmatizing or naive analyzes that are most often given in cities and working-class neighborhoods. It has been developed as part of a participatory research project entitled Pop-Part - "The popular neighborhoods in the prism of youth" initiated in 2017 in 10 cities of Greater Paris (Paris, Suresnes, Saint-Denis, Aubervilliers , Pantin, Villeneuve-la-Garenne, Corbeil-Essonnes, Nanterre, Clichy-sous-Bois, Vert-Saint-Denis). During workshops led by researchers and youth leaders, groups of young people made a speech about their city or neighborhood that they showed in filmed tours. Each filmed course includes between 5 and 15 capsules, written and produced by the young people. They last a maximum of two minutes and focus on a place and a theme that young people wanted to talk about.
