NASAB

Sayid Abu Muhammad Abdul Qadir was born in Naif, Jailan, Iraq, during the month of Ramadan 470 H, coinciding with 1077 AD His father was Shahih, a devout person of the descendants of Hadhrat Imam Hasan, may Allah be pleased with him, the first grandson of the Messenger of Allah, Imam Ali's eldest son and Fatimah Ra, beloved daughter of the Prophet. His mother was the daughter of a guardian, Abdullah Saumai, who was also a descendant of Imam Hussein, may Allah be pleased with him, the second son of Ali and Fatimah. Thus, Sayid Abdul Qadir was Hasani and Huseini.


YOUTH

Since he was a child, he was quiet, nerimo, acted and often did to make it better, what was called 'mystical experiences'. When he was eighteen years old, thirst for knowledge and excitement to be with the pious, had taken him to Baghdad, which at that time was the center of science and civilization. Later, he was named the greatest Ghauts of Al-Azam or ghauts guardian.

In the terminology of the Sufis, a ghauts occupies the spiritual level and the second privilege in terms of asking Allah's forgiveness and pleasure for mankind after the prophets. A great 'ulama today, has classified it into Shaddiqin, as the Qur'an calls for such people. This cleric based his views on the events that occurred on the first trip of Sayyid Abdul Qadir to Baghdad.


It was reported that before his departure for Baghdad, his widowed mother gave him eighty pieces of gold sewn on the inside of his coat, just under his armpit, as provisions. This money is a legacy from his late father, intended to deal with difficult times. When he was about to leave, the mother advised him not to speak in all circumstances. The child promises to keep in mind the message.

As soon as the train he arrived arrived at Hamadan, blocked a crowd of robbers. When looting, the robbers didn't pay attention to him at all, because he looked so simple and poor. Coincidentally one of the robbers asked him whether he had money or not. Remembering his promise to the mother, little Abdul Qadir immediately replied: "Yes, I have eighty gold pieces sewn in my mother's clothes." Of course the robbers were surprised by surprise. They are surprised, there are these honest people.


They bring it to their leader, then ask him, and the answer is the same. As soon as the stitching of Abdul Qadir's clothes was opened, he found eighty gold pieces as stated. The chief robber was amazed. He tells everything that happened between him and his mother when he left, and added that if he lied, it would not mean his efforts to gain religious knowledge.

Hearing this, the chief robber cried, fell to the feet of Abdul Qadir, and regretted all the sins that had been committed. It was reported, that the chief robber was his first student. This event shows the process of becoming Shiddiq. If he was not right, then such strong courage for the sake of truth, in critical moments, was impossible for him.
