The book deals with an issue that has long been the subject of controversy among the various Islamic jurisprudence schools, namely, the jurisprudence of women and related issues such as marriage, marital pluralism, will and inheritance, and especially the "duties" and the resultant injustice against women throughout history.

The author proceeds from his approach in contemporary reading to the verses of wise downloading, especially the well-known verses of Surat al-Nisa ', on the rights of women in Islam, and the legislative provisions.

But before that, the author deals with the causes of immobility in Islamic legislation, and the historical motives behind the disruption of the mind and the cessation of Ijtihad, which led to depriving women of much of what God Almighty really made them, based on dubious "prophetic" conversations. This leads the author to address the Prophet's Sunnah, its characteristics, its history and how to deal with it, and to discuss the so-called "causes of descent" and the reasons for its development. After addressing the social, religious, political and linguistic problems suffered by the various schools of Islamic jurisprudence, Muhammad Shahrour shows the reasons for reading the wise download in a contemporary reading, so that the saying "Islam is valid for all time and place" can be fulfilled.

Mohammed Shahrour is a Syrian researcher and thinker, holder of a PhD in civil engineering in Ireland. He began studying the Koran in 1970. Today, he is considered a major reference in Qur'anic sciences, after he found a new and scientific approach to its understanding.

He also published "Quranic Stories" (Quran), "The Book and the Qur'an", "The Apostolic Year and Sunnah", "Religion and Power", "Mother of the Book".
